Lactation and Feeding Services

In-Home Consults

We understand that providing human milk to your baby can feel extremely intimate, and that nobody wants to worry about packing up the stroller, diapers, and wipes in order to get lactation support.

With our in-home lactation consults, we provide support where you are most comfortable - in your own home.

Fees and Policies

  • We believe in transparency, so our fees are laid out with no surprise billing.
For a first time consult (parent and 1 baby), we plan for up to 90 minutes of in-home support with one of our IBCLCs. Our initial consult is $200 and we provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Our consults do require a $50 deposit at the time of booking in order to confirm your appointment that will apply your service

  • Often, a follow-up visit may be necessary for more complex issues. Follow-up visits are reserved for families that we have seen in the previous 3 months and are $175 for up to a 60-minute consult. If you feel your issue may need more time or you are a repeat client with a new baby, please book an “initial visit”

  • With every set of multiples, we know there is more time needed to provide enough love for all. For consultations for multiples, we allot more time to be able to support all the babies at the breast. For this reason, there is a $50 charge for each additional baby that comes with an additional 30 minutes of our time.

  • Because of of our passion for what we do, we choose to provide support to an extensive service area covering San Antonio and the surrounding areas, to include Boerne, Bulverde, Hondo, Lytle, New Braunfels, San Marcos, and Seguin. This often means we are driving 45min to an hour between each appt.

To ensure we can continue providing in-home lactation care across the wide service area we cover we collect a $50 Travel/Admin Fee for initial visits. This fee helps us bring compassionate, personalized support directly to your doorstep.

The Travel/Admin Fee acts as a non-refundable deposit and is due at the time of booking. For follow-up visits, this fee is reduced to $25 per visit.

As part of our cash-pay discount, this fee is waived for cash-pay customers.

  • While we are not currently in network directly with any insurance providers, we are partnered with The Lactation Network and Wildflower to provide services utilizing your existing healthcare coverage. Check our Insurance Page for more details on how to qualify

  • We personally understand the unique challenges faced by families that are on Medicaid. As a result, we are happy to offer to a discount on services for those families who receive Medicaid of 30% off initial visits and 25% off all follow-ups or prenatal visits. When booking your visit, simply inform us that you have Medicaid and we will confirm at the time of visit. Please note, the $50 deposit will still apply.

  • Our cancellation policy is designed to ensure the efficient scheduling of appointments and honor the commitment of our practitioners. A deposit of $50 is required to secure your appointment as it helps us ensure that we can allocate the necessary time and resources to provide you with the best possible lactation support. This deposit is non-refundable unless you cancel more than 48 hours in advance. We do understand, however, that sometimes unexpected things come up. For appointments scheduled within 24-48 hours, you may contact us to reschedule and your deposit will be transferred to the new appointment. This option may only be utilized once without a new deposit and the deposit is non-refundable if the rescheduled appointment is subsequently canceled. Once your appointment is within 24 hours, the deposit is non-refundable and will be treated as a cancellation fee if you cancel or reschedule, except in the case of a true emergency.

If we have an emergency come up on our end, we will make every effort to reschedule to another time or have our partner IBCLC make the consult. If we are not able to do so for any reason, we will absolutely refund your deposit!
