Best friends who had a vision

Dee and Dawna became best friends through their shared passion for equitable, compassionate lactation care. After many years of friendship and collaboration, they have finally paired up to bring their visions to life

Dawna (she/her) became an IBCLC after breastfeeding her daughter turned out to not be all sunshine and rainbows. Living in Seguin, there was very little lactation support accessible and she had to become Inspector Gadget in order to successfully navigate the challenges of a lip and tongue tie on her own. She went on to breastfeed for 2 years sans support and decided she never wanted another parent suffering alone the way she did.

While raising her daughter as a single mom, Dawna graduated college with double associates degrees in May of 2018 and passed her board to officially become an IBCLC in July of 2019. She has worked in WIC, hospitals, and private practice previously. She is very excited to run her own private practice, while also contracting with WIC serving the very same area where she was alone in 2016.

Dawna lives with her family in San Antonio, TX and enjoys reading, crocheting, video games, and 3D printing.
